Considering the dimensions of 56m in height and 30m in breadth, it is an engineering marvel of historic India. The structure was built by Quli Qutb Shah in honor of his wife, Bhagmati.

The structure of Charminar has 4 towers in all 4 corners of it. Each of them rises to a height of 48.7m and is known to have 4 distinct stories.

• Golconda Fort: It is located 11 km away from the city. Proximity to the city and the architectural brilliance of the structure make it a popular tourist spot. It was built by Qutub Shahi Kings. The structure is known to have eight gates and 87 bastions.

• Hussain Sagar Lake: Considered to be Asia’s largest artificial lake, this lake was built during Ibrahim Quli Qutub Shah’s reign. The water here was transferred from a tributary of Musi River. The lake was named after Hussain Shah Wali. There are also arrangements for ferry rides on this lake.
